Lucid Productions was founded by David Corlett.

David has worked on human rights projects that have had extraordinary reach, using media, policy, advocacy and other interventions.

 

He was host and expert advisor of the revolutionary series Go Back To Where You Came From

Broadcast over three seasons, Go Back to Where You Came From won multiple awards including an International Emmy, a Golden Rose and two Logies.  The series continues to be studied across a range of subject areas by school students around Australia. 

David produced the documentary Return to Bosnia with Nalu Productions.

 

He has reported for SBS’s Dateline from Sri Lanka, the UK, Bosnia and Australia.

David co-produced, co-directed, co-filmed Love and Sex in an Age of Pornography and The Porn Factor

 

These two films are part of a multifaceted violence prevention project that David co-designed and implemented.  The project, designed around research into the prevention of gender-based violence, has reshaped public debate and Australian policy on pornography and young people. 

 

David has been deeply involved with community organisations across the world, including as a researcher and producer of education and advocacy materials.

 

He was the researcher and lead author of the International Detention Coalition’s policy and public advocacy intervention to prevent children being detained for immigration purposes around the world. 

He was the lead author of Captured Childhood which was launched at the Human Rights Council, and has been cited widely, including by the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. David’s work is the foundation for the ongoing global End Child Detention Campaign
